Recruit
A new Recruit is a gamer who has been invited to play with and get to know the COG gaming community. This period of time is to enable the gamer to decide if COG is the right online gaming community for them. Within one week If the recruit decides that COG is the right community for them then they get added to the user group and becomes a private.


Private
The first responsibility of a Private is to register at https://coggaming.board-directory.net/. A Private can be classified as a new member to COG. Responsibilities of a Private include knowing the Honor Code, meeting other COG members, and participating in clan matches. Your time spent as a Private is geared towards getting familiar with the COG community and the professional manner in which we play.

Private’s Responsibilities:
1. Register at https://coggaming.board-directory.net/. This must be done in a timely manner or his/her position in the squad will be terminated.
2. Learn, understand, and follow the Honor Code.
3. Learn, understand, and follow the rank structure and chain of command.
4. Participate in clan and squad activities as well as game with their squad.
5. Attend clan and squad meetings.


Sergeant
A sergeant is a gamer who has earned the right to have a COG gamertag. Sergeants should be working closely with their Lieutenants to help train new members on community rules and the recruiting process. Sergeants should be helping Privates work towards becoming Sergeants and help welcome and play with new Recruits.

Sergeant's Responsibilities:
1. Have a basic understanding of the Honor Code and Rank Structure and be able to teach them to lower ranks.
2. Follow the Honor Code and the chain of command.
3. Participate in clan and squad activities as well as game with their squad.
4. Attend clan and squad meetings.
5. Play with and teach new Recruits and Privates.
6. Work closely with the Lieutenants to maintain structure.  


Lieutenant
A Lieutenant is a gamer who has proven that they want to start moving up in leadership.  Lieutenants should be working closely with their Sergeants, Privates, and Recruits below them to train them up and screen potential leaders. The Lieutenant is responsible for informing the Major of a members name change request.

Lieutenant's Responsibilities:
1. Work closely with the Sergeants to help keep the clan growing and improving.
2. Assist the squad leaders in maintaining a successful squad.
3. Attend clan and squad meetings.
4. Training the Sergeants, Privates, and Recruits below you to maintain structure.
5. Informing the Major of Sergeants gamertag requests.


Commander
A Commander is the right hand man of the Liaison and helps them maintain a successful squad.  Commanders should work closely with their Liaison as well as with the Lieutenant to ensure a successful squad.  As a Commander you should be communicating with your Liaison about how the squad is doing.

Commander's Responsibilities:
1. Work closely with the Liaison to maintain a successful squad.
2. Help set up and attend squad related events.
3. Attend clan and squad meetings.
4. Ensure no member is left behind.
5. Keep a list of all squad members posted by the 1st and 15th of the month.


Liaison
A Liaison serves as the messengers of the clan.  As a Liaison you will ensure that messages from the leaders are communicated to everyone within your squad.  You will also be working closely with your Commander to maintain a successful squad.  You should also work with your Major to maintain a successful clan.  You will also be responsible for holding weekly squad meetings for members within your squad.

Liaison's Responsibilities:
1. Relay messages from leaders to all members within your squad
2. Set up and attend squad related activities
3. Host weekly squad meetings
4. Attend weekly clan meetings
5. Work with the Lieutenant/Major to maintain a successful squad/clan
6. Ensure no member is left behind


Major
A Major is the head of a clan and helps to maintain order within their respective clan.  As a Major you should be working closely with your Liaisons to maintain a successful clan.  You should be actively communicating with your Section Leader to keep them up to date on how your clan is doing.  You should hold weekly clan meetings to keep members and leaders up to date on clan related business and activities.  as a Major you will have to keep an up to date clan list.

Major's Responsibilities:
1. Maintain a successful clan
2. Hold weekly clan meetings
3. Set up and attend clan related events
4. Attend the weekly Major's meeting
5. Ensure no member is left behind
6. Post an updated clan list on the 1st and 15th of every month
7. Send name change requests to the Section Leader for approval


Section Leader (CS)
A Section Leader overlooks the success of multiple clans.  As a Section Leader you are a role model for all Major's within your section.  You should make yourself available several times a week to handle any questions or business within your section.  Section Leaders will be responsible for making sure that Major's turn in their clan lists on time.  Section Leaders should display sound decision making and judgment while maintaining their section.

Section Leader Responsibilities:
1. Must be active online on a regular basis
2. Work closely with his/her Majors to ensure success
3. Make sure that Majors post their clan lists on time
4. Attend one clan meeting per week 
5. Approve COG gamertags
6. Work closely with the Community Leaders to help promote COG in a positive way
7. Attend a weekly Section Leader meeting
8. Host the weekly Major's meeting


Community Leader (CC)
Community Leaders are responsible for COG as a whole and are role models for the entire community.  Community Leaders should be working closely with the Section Leaders to help ensure success for the entire community.  As a Community Leader you should be holding weekly meetings with the Section Leaders to help give direction for the community.  Community Leaders should also be spreading any community news as well as any messages from the Community Founders.  Community Leaders should also be actively evaluating Majors for promotion to Section Leader.


Community Founders (CF)
The Community Founders make up the founding members of COG.  The Community Founders work within a democratic structure voting on what is best for COG as a whole.  This helps keep it from being a single person's quest.
